We are based in the car park of the Seagate Hotel and launch our white & black gigs from the Churchfield Car park slipway. During the summer season we can be found on the water most weekday evenings and some weekends, while in the winter we row at weekends only around high tides.

We hold regular novice sessions for ladies, men and juniors at which we offer 3 free rows to give you a chance to see if the sport is for you before we ask you to join. As our aims is to be as inclusive as possible, club membership is open to everyone over 11 years of age. However the sport does require a certain level of fitness and mobility to handle the oar and help launch and retrieve the gigs. If you have any concerns about this please discuss them with our novice crew co-ordinator or the club member organising the session before you start. If at any time you feel unwell or in pain during you row you should stop and bring this to the attention of the Cox who is in charge of the boat from the moment it leaves the shore.

The club benefits from a sheltered position in the estuary and rowing can continue in most weather conditions including rain and light winds. As conditions can change rapidly at sea, rowers are advised to bring suitable clothing and shoes that you do not mind getting wet. Layers are a good idea as is a bottle of water, but other personal items and bags should not be brought into the gigs.

Copies of our club rules, the Cornish Pilot Gig Associations medical questionnaire and an application form to join the club can all be found in our members section.
